Abby & Jon’s Vault 634 Wedding in Allentown

Abby and Jon’s October wedding was a great example of why we love filming weddings in the Lehigh Valley. The day moved from the quiet greenery of Allentown Parkway to the traditional setting of Faith Presbyterian Church in Emmaus before ending in the dramatic surroundings of Vault 634 in downtown Allentown.

And, of course, there was a classic red Firebird involved.

The day began with Abby getting ready at her family’s home in Allentown while Jon prepared at his family’s home in Whitehall.

A First Look in Allentown Parkway

Before the ceremony, Abby and Jon met for their first look at Allentown Parkway.

It was a beautiful change of pace from the activity of the wedding preparations. Surrounded by the park’s greenery, the two had a chance to see each other and spend some time together before the ceremony and everything that followed.

The first look took place at Allentown Parkway before the couple headed to Emmaus for their ceremony.

A Classic Ceremony at Faith Presbyterian Church

Abby and Jon exchanged their vows at Faith Presbyterian Church in Emmaus.

The ceremony was a relatively intimate part of the day, lasting about half an hour before the couple headed toward their reception at Vault 634.

And then came one of the most fun visual details of the day: the getaway from the ceremony in a classic red Firebird.

It’s hard to beat a vintage car when you’re looking for an entrance—or an exit—that looks great on film.

From Emmaus to Vault 634

After the ceremony, the celebration continued in downtown Allentown at Vault 634.

The historic venue has become one of our favorite places in the Lehigh Valley to shoot weddings. Its architecture gives the reception a distinctive look, while the downtown location provides plenty of opportunities for dramatic portraits and establishing shots.

For Abby and Jon, the elegant setting of Vault 634 provided a fitting contrast to the outdoor first look and the classic car that had already made its appearance earlier in the day.

A Night at Vault 634

With the formalities underway, Abby and Jon celebrated with their friends and family surrounded by the character and history of Vault 634.

Wesley Works provided the entertainment, while Penn Strings brought live string musicians into the day. Get Fed handled the cake, with floral design by Phoebe Floral and photography by Cassi Claire.

The reception continued into the evening before the celebration wrapped up later that night.

Abby & Jon’s Wedding Highlight Film

From the first look at Allentown Parkway to the ceremony in Emmaus, the red Firebird, and the reception at Vault 634, Abby and Jon’s wedding had plenty of character.

It’s the combination of those little details—the setting, the people, the vintage car, and the moments between the big events—that makes a wedding film feel like their wedding rather than just another wedding video.
