A Note About This Film: This wedding was filmed while we were still operating as Bar None Films. We’ve since rebranded as Trai Matthew Films, but we’re bringing some of our favorite older wedding films to YouTube so our couples can enjoy and easily share them.
Some weddings just have a great energy from beginning to end, and Shali and Jake’s celebration in Downtown Allentown was one of them.
The day began with Shali getting ready at the Renaissance Allentown Hotel before everyone headed over to Vault 634, one of the most distinctive wedding venues in the Lehigh Valley. The combination of the historic architecture and the modern feel of Downtown Allentown made for a fantastic backdrop throughout the day.
The celebration continued into the evening with DJ Jimbo keeping the reception moving and plenty of time for friends and family to enjoy the dance floor. But one of the most memorable moments of the night was something nobody needed to schedule on a timeline: Shali’s father surprised everyone with an acoustic performance.
Those unexpected moments are some of our favorite things to capture in a wedding film. Years later, the big moments are wonderful to remember, but it’s often the spontaneous moments — a song, a laugh, a reaction from a parent — that bring the entire day rushing back.
