Nobody Puts This Bride in a Corner: A Dirty Dancing Wedding at Capriotti’s

Some wedding days just feel like a movie. From the moment we arrived on that beautiful, sun-drenched August morning, we knew Jordan and Matthew’s celebration was going to be something special. There was an air of timeless elegance, a buzz of joyful anticipation, and the promise of a party that no one would ever forget. Set against the charming backdrop of Jim Thorpe and McAdoo, Pennsylvania, their day was a perfect blend of heartfelt tradition and show-stopping personality, and we were so honored to be there to capture every moment.

The day began with vows exchanged within the historic walls of Christ Lutheran Church. The light streamed through the stained-glass windows as Jordan and Matthew committed their lives to one another in a ceremony that was both sacred and deeply personal. Following their “I do’s,” the newlyweds made their grand exit, stepping out into the sunshine as husband and wife with a celebration of friends and family. A fleet of classic cars awaited them, adding a touch of vintage glamour and whisking them away for a stunning creative session at the iconic Asa Packer Mansion, its grand architecture providing the perfect canvas for their new beginning.

As the afternoon sun began to dip lower, casting a warm golden glow over everything, the celebration moved to the elegant ballroom at Capriotti’s. The atmosphere was electric, filled with the laughter and love of family and friends who had gathered to celebrate the happy couple. The energy in the room was palpable, building towards a reception that would be filled with heartfelt toasts, tender parent dances, and a dance floor that stayed packed all night long.

But before the toasts, before the first dance, came the moment that truly defined the spirit of their celebration. For their grand entrance, Jordan and Matthew didn’t just walk in—they performed. To the cheers of their guests, they flawlessly executed the iconic dance number from “Dirty Dancing,” complete with the legendary lift. It was bold, brilliant, and perfectly them, setting an unforgettable tone of pure joy for the incredible party that was about to unfold.
