I’m Trai Matthew

East Coast-based cinematographer, editor, and founder of Trai Matthew Films.

For more than 17 years, I’ve been turning real wedding days into cinematic films that bring couples back to the way their wedding actually felt.

Since 2009, I’ve filmed more than 300 weddings throughout the Lehigh Valley, across the East Coast, and around the world—from Italy and Hawaii to the Caribbean and beyond.

I personally film your wedding and oversee the creative process from start to finish. I’m not simply the person you meet during the booking process before your wedding is handed off to someone else.

My core filmmaking team has worked alongside me for more than 10 years. We know each other, we know how to work together, and we’ve spent years developing the way we approach a wedding day. That means you get an experienced team with a shared creative vision—not a collection of freelancers assembled for your particular Saturday.

My job is to be present without being intrusive, anticipate the moments before they happen, and capture the things you may not even realize are happening around you.

Filmmaking
Every wedding has a story, and no two are alike. I’m looking for more than beautiful shots—I’m looking for the glance between you, the reaction your dad tried to hide, and the moments nobody else noticed. Our filmmaking combines cinematic composition with candid storytelling to make your wedding feel uniquely yours.
Editing
A wedding day gives us hours of footage. The challenge is knowing what deserves to remain. As both filmmaker and editor, I carry your story from the wedding day through the final film, carefully shaping the voices, emotion, movement, and moments that turn your footage into a timeless story.
